I am having the same issue
Might as well pile in and say I can reproduce the issue as well with Outlook/Hotmail. Not sure if it will be fixed in the near term unfortunatelyā¦
Iām using protonmail bridge with mailspring, and this happens to me as well. Using 1.19.1
Still have the issue with an outlook account:
Emailed two recipients plus one CC and the email was sent four times.
Would love to see it fixed.
This is a long-standing known issue with Microsoft/Outlook accounts ā Outlookās server automatically saves sent messages to Sent, but often does it very slowly. Mailspring thinks the server will not save a copy, and saves its own to ensure the sent message is not lost, resulting in duplicates.
Workaround: Go to outlook.live.com (or Outlook on the web for work accounts) > Settings > Mail > Compose and reply > disable āSave copies of messages in the Sent Items folderā. This lets Mailspring manage the sent copy exclusively.
Iāll see if we can include a broader fix for this in an upcoming relase.
