The Problem
When using the Unified Inbox, there is currently no way to filter emails by label/tag (e.g. Gmail labels). This makes it difficult to use the Unified Inbox when emails are heavily organized via labels, especially when labels are applied automatically via rules or external tools (including AI-based classification).
Proposed Solution
Add support for label-based filtering in the Unified Inbox.
Context
My workflow relies heavily on automated labeling (rules and external AI tooling) to classify incoming emails into categories such as:

Requested actions

Announcements / notifications
Being able to filter the Unified Inbox by label would:

Make the Unified Inbox viable as a main workspace
