Add account with french Mailo provider

Good afternoon All,

I am Seb please to meet everybody here. I am a new user of mailspring and I do not succed to add my french provider “mailo “. When I am adding account info I cannot access next steps to add info. Still working for hours. Sure email and pass are the good one. I add succesfully my gmail but would like to stop using.

Hi Séb,
I experience the same issue as you.
I choose “IMAP / SMTP”, I type name, e-mail and password, but then I’m stuck with the kind of “wheel” turning endlessly.
Why doesn’t Mailspring allow to specify manually IMAP and SMTP parameters ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Mailo uses standard IMAP/SMTP — here are the server settings to use if auto-detection is looping:

  • IMAP: imap.mailo.com, port 993, SSL/TLS
  • SMTP: smtp.mailo.com, port 587, STARTTLS

In the account setup screen, after the auto-detection spins without success, look for a “Manual Setup (IMAP/SMTP)” option or wait for the timeout error, which should offer manual entry. Enter your full Mailo email as the username and your Mailo password.

If you have two-factor authentication enabled on your Mailo account, you’ll need to generate an app password from the Mailo security settings first.
