Add an indicator to know if folder has unread messages

The Problem

I like to redirect some of the emails I’m receiving to some folders for easier management. The problem is that I have no way to know if I have any unread emails the said folders.

Proposed Solution

Add unread counter to folders optionally, something similar to the Inbox

Another way to do it is to make the folder labels bold or just add colored flag next to the folder name.

This feature is present in other clients such as Thunderbird and Mac Mail .

There’s already a setting for this. Open Setting > General and look for the option “Show unread counts for all folders/labels”. If you check this, you’ll get what you’re looking for.
