Add Attachment Cannot See All Folders

I am running Mailspring 1.9.2 via Flatpak on PopOS 22.04. When I go to attach a file in Mailspring, I see the folders Home, Desktop, Documents, and Downloads. Missing are the folders Dropbox, Music, Pictures, Videos, Zotero, etc… If I try and drag/drop a file from the File Explorer from a folder not visible to Mailspring, say from Pictures, into Mailspring, I get an error that Mailspring does not have permission to access this file. I have to move it to Documents then add it.

All of these folders have the same approximate permissions:

drwxr-xr-x 6 school school 4.0K Oct 4 16:00 Documents

Hi,

June 2023 : still the same problem in version 1.10.7 Flatpack on Mint OS

still same with 1.11 flatpak on Ubuntu/PopOS. It’s really ridiculous that we cannot do something as important as attachments. Need to stop using Mailspring because of this… :frowning:

I have the same problem using Linux Mint. Attachments cannot be dragged to folders and when I want to save them, I do not see all my folders (even when I use the " other locations" options).
I am using Linux Mint 21.2 (Cinnamon version 5.8.4) with Linux kernel 5.15.0-87-generic.

I’m having the same problem, does anyone know how to solve this? the Mailspring team needs to resolve this urgently!
