If I have opened an email in the All Mail folder with an inbox tag and then click the hotkey for archive (“e”), the inbox tag should be removed. Currently, nothing happens.
Hey! Ahh yes this seems like a bug—I think the email won’t disappear (since you’re already looking at the archive essentially if this is a Gmail account), but the inbox tag should definitely be removed.
This applies to all none ‘inbox’ folders when you have a gmail account. In gmail archiving always removes the current viewed tag.
Update: I just realized it is not like that in gmail either, but where the archive button is in Inbox there is a ‘Remove current label’ button. So I thought it was the archive functionality.
So the bug is it should remove ‘Inbox’ label in all folders, but it would be good to have a shortcut to remove current label too, with archive or some other shortcut.
