The Problem
I have a office 365 account from my old workplace which I want to keep in Mailspring. All emails while I was working there are downloaded offline. Obviously I can’t connect to the server anymore so I get the big red box in Mailspring because it “Cannot authenticate”
Proposed Solution
Be able to mark an account as “Archived” so Mailspring doesn’t check the server anymore, but all emails are still there for searching/browsing.
The Apple Mail approach is to add a little disconnected symbol next to the Inbox, but it still nags you in system notifications. So perhaps a more elegant solution.
Also, to be able to import an old account from outside Mailspring that doesn’t exist anymore, but I still have the .mbox archives. (But I guess this is more complex to implement).
