I have selected “Launch on system start” in Preferences.
Mailspring is included in the Windows “Startup” folder.
But when Windows begins, Mailspring is not open, either in a window or on the taskbar.

This is a known Windows issue where the login item registration can fail or get cleared after updates. As a reliable workaround:
%AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup in File Explorer%LocalAppData%\mailspring\app-X.X.X\Mailspring.exe)--background to the shortcut’s target so it starts minimized to the system trayThis persists across updates and is more reliable than the built-in setting on Windows.
