I’m considering reopening the github issue, as it’s been open for roughly 7 years now (and closed for migration to this community).
Would still love to see this feature.

Just tried out this e-mail client as an alternative to Thunderbird, but no calendar support is a dealbreaker for me. The Github issue was set as “completed” in 2021 and the “Calendar preview” says the feature is coming this year. I guess this note has been there since 2021, or can anyone confirm it really comes this year?
In many ways, MailSpring is the best email client out there. However, it does lack some features. The developers of MailSpring haven’t add any features in a long time. Like the rest of us, they need to focus efforts on projects that pay the bills.
I would recommend trying Spark. Google spark for windows if you’re on windows. They also have a client for Mac

What about the calendar future?
Could the devs just come out and say this is dead or what the plan is? Going on 5 years now of “soon”.
I’ve found this, but I don’t see a calendar in the latest version I downloaded today. Any thoughts?

Hey folks! The Calendar Preview is coming along, and my hope is that we’ll move it out of preview state in a couple months and integrate it into the app’s main window (ala Outlook). Version 1.18.0 shipped today and includes several calendar-related improvements:
CalDAV discovery now supports Fastmail, Yahoo, and additional providers (mailsync@e9099ce), so you can view + edit your Fastmail and Yahoo calendars within the app. Note that for FastMail, Mailspring needs to have an “app password” granting it access to Email,Contacts,Calendar, not just Email.
VTIMEZONE is now included in created calendar events, fixing timezone issues when creating events on Yahoo Calendar (5915e0d)
An empty state is shown when no CalDAV accounts are connected, making it clearer how to get started (#2625)
Calendar support is still evolving, but these improvements should help users with CalDAV-compatible calendar services. Update via snap refresh mailspring, the built-in auto-updater, or from https://www.getmailspring.com/download.
