Clicking on Email Notification Fails to Open Email in Mailspring on Windows

Ver: Mailspring 1.13.1

Issue

On Windows, when a new email notification appears and is clicked, the expected behavior is for Mailspring to open and display the corresponding email. However, currently clicking the notification does nothing other than dismissing the notification.

This is honestly one of the very few cons about this app. Would be happy to go premium if this is solved.

Seriously, what’s the point of having a mail client where clicking on the notifications is a useless effort? This must be the only email client in existence where notifications do not take you to the email they are notifying you about.

Almost one year without a fix for something so critical.

I Fixed the Mailspring Notification Issue on Win 10

steps:

  1. Uninstall Mailspring
  2. Go to C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Local\Mailspring and delete all remaining files in this directory.
