How do I respond from a different email address in case I have more than 1 email addresses on MailSpring?

Hi there, Mailspring is a wonderfull email client but it lacks of an important feature other mail interfaces like thunderbird, spike, canarymail have, is the posibility to respond from another email account when we have more than 1 email address configurated in Mailspring.

For example, I have 3 email addresses configurated in MailSpring: email1@email1.com / email2@email2.com / email3@email3.com

Well, when I recive an email to email1@email1.com I want to respond to this email but I want to respond from email3@email3.com

I see that now this is impossible as MailSpring doesn’t lets me change the email1@email1.com to email3@email3.com

I see that once we click create new message, there we can choose the email account, but when we recive an email, that email has to be responded from that email account it recives it, it doesn’t lets you change the account to another one in order to respond.

Is there any way to achive this ??

Thanks

Any news about this feature ?? Is this possible ?

When replying to a message, Mailspring defaults to the account that received the email. There’s no direct UI to switch the sending account on a reply at the moment — this is a known limitation.

The best workaround right now is to forward the message instead of replying, which opens a new compose window where you can select any account from the “From” field dropdown. It’s not as clean as a proper reply, but it gets the job done.

For sending new emails you can already choose any account using the “From” dropdown in the composer. Allowing account-switching on replies is something I’d like to add — it’s a frequently requested feature.
