How do I change the password in Mindspring for accounts that I have changed the password
When you change your email account password, Mailspring will eventually show an authentication error (red indicator in the sidebar). To update the stored password:
- Go to Preferences > Accounts and select the affected account.
- Click the “Reconnect” button that appears in the account details panel (it’s always visible at the bottom of the account details, even if there’s no error yet).
- This reopens the account setup flow — enter your new password there.
Mailspring will resume syncing normally once the new credentials are saved.
