How To Completely Remove a Shortcut Key

Hey everyone, hoping someone can point me the in the right direction.

I tried using the search feature to see if this has already been posted, no luck, and the box here to my right that shows “Your post sounds similar” isn’t showing it either.

Is there a way to completely unbind a shortcut, such that it has no key associated with it? I’ve tried a variety of methods used in other applications I’ve used over the years and just can’t figure this out. Hoping it’s not something really obvious that I just missed somehow.

  1. Open Preferences → Shortcusts in MailSpring
  2. Set some custom combination to the feature you want to remote the shortcut for
  3. Scroll down and click “Edit Custom Shortcuts” button (it will open the MailSpring folder in windows explorer)
  4. Find the “keymap.json” file and open it in the Notepad app
  5. Replace your new assigned shortcut by “None”
  6. Save and close the Notepad app
