yes - can’t type spaces - it deletes the email you are replying to.

If you open the email up in a separate window it seems to work OK

Confirmed here as well. Tested on both Fedora and Ubuntu

same here as well has anyone found a workaround for this or which update was responsible. I updated to the most recent version and the space bar was working fine then suddenly stopped.

Same issue here! crazy this made it into any kind of release! I noticed before this release that I had a similar issue when using special chars, I was unable to press return after a special char for example

Somethinghere:

Typing the above would prevent me pressing return after the : symbol.

I can’t either and now it won’t type anything except the first letter. I’ve restarted my computer and I’ve redownloaded the app and still the same.

Similar issue here, looks like almost any capital letter triggers a shortcut, it’s impossible to write an email since latest release

I been having same issue, tried to do EVERYTHING and just now saw that other are suffering the same. Any ideas when this will be fixed? Super annoying and ruins the flow of the work day.

I am using Mailspring on Windows (I know … I’m sorry … I usually use Debian but my laptop GPU died) and am experiencing the same issue.

I have a problem where almost any key I use causes it to delete the email, or close it, or archive it. My email is pretty much unuseable and there is no support number or anything to help.

Hey folks, sorry for the hassle here - it looks like this happens specifically when you use Gmail-style shortcuts that are single keys.

We’ve shipped version 1.20.1 this morning (Mailspring - The best free email app, or let the app auto-update) and it addresses this issue.

We’re evaluating how we can add validation to the release flow so that things like this don’t get through in the future. Really sorry for the inconvenience.

I have similar problems. Windows and Ubuntu, it is practically impossible to reply to any email. Space deletes the email completely. A and D do some random stuff, absolutely not possible to reply. What in the name of all that is holy is this?
