A bunch of folks have asked for a mobile app, but I’ve put it off because the existing UI / Electron app isn’t really appropriate for mobile - pretty much everything would need to be re-written.

Migrating from Electron to Tauri would enable mobile support:

Would be great to migrate mailspring to tauri https://tauri.app/ First the app would be around 10mb max and would use much less memory. Tauri uses rust behind which easily allow you to use c++ lib (mailsync) which would make the migration not that crazy. You can also use multi thread within rust which could help mailspring let me know what you think
