Like the title says. I could have sworn I’d configured it as my default client, but it’s not there. Nor do I have the option to select it from a list of apps (only Windows store apps, because of course
). How can I fix this?
have you managed to fix it? i have the same issue
thank you
No, still awaiting instructions
I even tried modifying the registry
possibly no way to make it default which makes it a useless app
Remains to be an issue. Mailspring does not appear in ms-settings:defaultapps. On Windows Server 2016 in my case.
A few things to try:
- Re-run the latest installer from getmailspring.com — this re-registers protocol handlers and should add Mailspring to the Default Apps list
- Set via protocol: Search “Default apps” in Windows Start > scroll to “Email” > select Mailspring
- For
mailto:links: Search “Default apps” > scroll down to “Choose default apps by protocol” > findMAILTO> select Mailspring
If re-running the installer still doesn’t help, please share your Windows version and we’ll look into the registration issue.
