Mailspring sets itself as "default browser" in Linux Mint

As title says, Mailspring it setting itself as the default web client in my fresh install of Linux Mint (20.3).

My guess is that this is happening when I click on an email to view web content. Yes - I understand that it’s not bad to view web content inside of my email but does it have to reset a default/preferred application when I do that?

This action continues and is the MOST irritating aspect of Mailspring. I really wish there was a way to disable this action.
