Manually apply rules to inbox or single mails.

Proposed Solution

  1. Context menu on inbox (and maybe other folders) to run all rules for the inbox.
  2. Top bar button to apply rules for current mail like the archive button, but for rules.

Either of those buttons would require a flag in mail rules to not run the rule automatically.

Alternate Solution

Implement rules for archive to move archived mails in subfolders.

Context

I use rules to archive my emails in subfolders. But since there are a lot of those folders, I might not see when there was a new mail automatically moved. I would prefer it, when new mails would still be in my inbox and only archived using my rules when i click a button.

I too would like this feature.
I use rules to tidy up my inbox - in outlook, i was always able to turn the rules off and just manually run them.

I.e. i run these when I want to tidy up my inbox (which acts as my to do list).

Otherwise, I will miss emails, as they will skip my inbox…
