When I get a notification for new mail and click Mark as read, this just opens the MailSpring window, and the message is not marked as read.

could you be more specific on which notification system are you talking about? I’m on KDE and in the built-in notifications widget I only see a “View” button. Clicking on Mailspring try icon only opens/closes the app window.

I have to edit my topic: It sets the email to read, but open the main window. It would be great if it could set it to read without opening the window. Or even better, an option for Deleting the mail without opening MailSpring.

Hey Stein – Mailspring 1.19.1 was just released and includes a fix for notification click handling that should resolve the issue you’re seeing. There was a redundant window display call that was causing the main window to activate unnecessarily when interacting with notifications. Please update and let me know if this improves things for you!
