Move to newer/older conversation hotkey not working

Description

The “move to newer/older converstation” hotkey don’t work as expected. They only switch between two or one messages. If I select another message using one of the keys jumps back the the message(s) it switched between previously. Scrolling down the message list to load more messages, changes the two messages it switches between or makes it switch to a blank message.

To Reproduce…

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Inbox or Unread

  2. Click on any message

  3. Hit the down (the move to older conversation hotkey) key (sometimes already doing nothing or switching to a more or less random message (always the same message, even if I select different messages to start from)

  4. Hit the down (the move to older conversation hotkey) key again (nothing happens

  5. Select another older message using the mouse.

  6. Hit the down button (switches back to the message, the first switch selected)

Expected Behavior

Jumping to next message (or thread) every time I hit the down key.

Setup

  • OS and Version: Windows 11 Version 10.0.26200 Build 26200
    • Installation Method: Installer
  • Mailspring Version: 1.17.0-5e478521

Additional Context

I have two accounts, both imap, one with about 56k mails in the inbox and one much smaller with about 100 mails. In both inboxes as well as all folders I tested I have the described problems.

Same issue here, Windows 11/1.17.0.

Down and up keys either do nothing, go to the previously selected message, or go to the first message in the list.

Same issue on Mac, v1.17.0. The issue was introduced after the last update.

Same here, up and down arrow keys both jump the selection to the top item in the feed.

Solved in 1.17.1. Just installed it and works as expected.

Yep, update to 1.17.1 fixed the issue for me as well.
