Need to conceal my Fastmail address in outgoing messages

I have a Fastmail account that I use with a public email address linked to my personal domain thus concealing my Fastmail address (and username) from public view. In creating an account in Mailspring for macOS I had to use my Fastmail address as username in order to make a connection with the Fastmail account but there appears to be no facility for registering my public email address as part of that connection. Consequently, any email I send shows my Fastmail address as the origin and return address and not my public email address.

Any other email app that I have used does have the facility to specify a separate public email address but I can’t see how to do that with Mailspring.

TIA for any helpful hints.

I have answered my own question. The solution is not to use the Fastmail option when creating a new account connection but to select IMAP/SMTP. Enter the public email address in the first dialog box then enter the Fastmail address/username in the next dialog box along with the app-specific password.
