Notifications aren't working on Ubuntu 20.04 with only 1 account

Description

Notifications aren’t working on Ubuntu 20.04 (fresh install).
I made sure that the notifications are enabled in the app settings.
Zenity is also installed.

Setup

  • OS and Version: Ubuntu Linux 20.04
  • Mailspring Version: 1.7.8-13635bcf

Additional Context

I just added another account, and the notifications suddenly started working, even though I didn’t change any of the Mailspring settings. Weird.

Same problem here on NixOS.
Got the notification sound and change of color in tray icon but nothing on my dbus notification daemon.

I don’t see anything on the logs neither

Hi, also on NixOS here. I can confirm the same issue. No dbus notifications.
Running on a wlroots compositor with zenity installed.
