Problem with libsecret - org.freedesktop.secrets

Description

I use archlinux with kde / plasma, as kwallet still doesn’t support org.freedesktop.secrets, I’m using KeepassXC, because I don’t want to use gnome-keyring …
It seems that Mailspring cannot use dbus communication with KeepassXC.

To Reproduce…

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install KeePassXC
  2. enable integration in KeePassXC with org.freedesktop.secrets
  3. open Mailspring
  4. Mailspring could not store your password, make sure you have libsecret

Expected Behavior

be able to use any program that provides the org.freedesktop.secrets service

Setup

  • OS and Version: archlinux - kde/plasma 5.20
  • Mailspring Version: 1.7.8, 1.8.0

Additional Context

It should be noted that I have other programs that depend on org.freedesktop.secrets, such as MySQL Workbench which works well with KeePassXC

I have been able to solve it, it seems that you have to expose a group and associate it to the org.freedesktop.secrets service
