Quality guidelines review

I am the packager of the Mailspring Flatpak. I just received a quality guildlines review, which brought up some issues. Most of them have to be fixed in appdata.xml, thats why i bring those up to you. Fixing them does not only benefit Flatpak, but the Linux app in general, since stores, websites etc design their interfaces around those guidlines. Besides that they are sensibly chosen, following them gives Mailspring itself a more professional look.

Below are the guidlines that are not met, and therefore need to be fixed.

Branding

  • Has primary brand colors (doc)
  • Good primary brand colors(doc)

App Icon

  • No baked-in shadows (doc)

Summary

  • Shorter than 35 characters (doc)
  • Doesn’t start with an article(doc)

Screenshots

  • Just the app window(doc)
  • Default settings(doc)
  • Include window shadow and rounded corners (doc)
  • Reasonable window size (doc)
  • Up to date (doc)

I know that seems like a lot to do at first, but i think it is worth it. Also Mailspring already passes most quality guidelines, so props to you!
