"return to conversation list" shortcut broken

Description

In v1.19.1 the “Return to conversation list” shortcut stopped working

To Reproduce…

  1. Open an email

  2. Press the shortcut

Expected Behavior

Should go to conversation list

  • OS and Version: macOS 13.7.8
    • Installation Method: Download button on website
  • Mailspring Version: v1.19.1 (Intel)

Hey folks, thanks for the detailed report. This is fixed in Mailspring 1.20.0 which was released yesterday.

I upgraded to v1.20.1 but unfortunately still bugged

Could you share more details about where this fails for you? Specifically:

  • Your OS and Mailspring version
  • Which view you’re in when you press the shortcut
  • What happens (nothing? navigates somewhere unexpected?)

Also, please try updating to v1.21.1 and let us know if the behavior changes. The fix that landed in v1.20.0 addressed one specific flow — if it’s still broken in another flow we want to track it down.

  • Mailspring v1.21.1
  • I press the shortcut when having an email message open. I use the “Single Panel” layout.
  • Nothing happens when pressing the shortcut

It does still happen in v1.21.1

Figured out the issue. When remapping the shortcut to Escape, it cote:pop-sheet to esc which doesn’t work, but setting it manually escape does work.
