I’m testing Mailspring as my main Windows Client.
The issue I have is that Mailspring is reporting “Scanning message…” for about 14 hours now.
Specifically, it’s scanning the “Archive” folder, and it’s stuck at 16%.

How many messages are there in the mailbox? If it’s thousands, it might take a while. No idea how long, but mine took some time (didn’t clock it) as I had almost 200k messages in one account alone.
Hi, Im having the same issue after recently installing for the first time. I’ve add a gmail account and zoho (IMAP) account. The issue is only with the Zoho mailbox, which is not downloading mails past a certain point, and “scanning messages” is stuck on the Inbox scanning (33%).
I’ve tried rebooting, rebuilding cache, and completely removing the account and adding it again.
There also seems to be a weird delay when typing, but only on function keys, not letters, spacebar & punctuation.
Backspace, enter, and a couple other keys need to be pressed a couple of times to work.
I also cant select multiple messages (eg. to delete a batch).
Im almost sure I did not have the scanning message issue or delayed function keys the day I set it up, but cropped up the next day after a pc reboot.
The mailbox is not that large, maybe a couple thousand mails, but going back about 4 years.
