Send later emails dissapearing when computer updates

Description

This issue happens with all emails using the Mailspring app when I use the ‘send later’ function. The issue is that when the computer restarts, all of the ‘send later’ emails that I spent ages working on just disappear. It isn’t in the trash folder or anywhere else on the app.

I have to then do it all over again, and this has become a nuisance. I noticed that someone else also brought this bug up but it was never addressed and I need to have this fixed otherwise I can’t continue using this app if I’m having questions about its reliability.

To Reproduce…

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create an email and use the ‘send later’ function (e.g. schedule for a month from now; timing doesn’t make a difference). It correctly shows up in the drafts folder and is labelled as “Scheduled for…”.
  2. Restart computer.
  3. Open the Mailspring app.
  4. Go to the drafts folder and notice that the scheduled email is missing.

Expected Behavior

I expect the Mailspring app to ‘remember’ that I set up a scheduled email, either in a cache form or some cloud storage, so I don’t have to stress about doing it again.

Setup

  • OS and Version: macOS Monterey 12.7.3 (Mac Mini 2018)
  • Mailspring Version: Version 1.13.3 (1.13.3)
