I personally have mailspring installed on two computers. My Desktop Win11 and my Laptop Win11. On my desktop the signature works fine. It asks for a photo and I put one in there … perfect. When I install it on my laptop. It only gives the following options: Gravatar Profile Photo or Domain Logo … the program does not ask for a picture and I can’t put one in the box. I’ve uninstalled and installed multiple installation files from different download sites … all the same. I have this on multiple computers in my company … my laptop is the only one with this issue. Any thoughts?
The ability to upload a custom photo to your signature requires you to be signed in with a Mailspring ID (a free account at getmailspring.com). The photo is hosted on Mailspring’s servers so it shows up correctly in all your recipients’ email clients.
On the laptop where you only see “Gravatar Profile Photo” or “Domain Logo”, the photo upload area is hidden because Mailspring isn’t signed in to a Mailspring ID on that machine. To fix it:
- Go to Preferences > Subscription on the laptop.
- Sign in (or create) a free Mailspring ID.
- Go back to Preferences > Signatures — the photo upload option should now appear.
