What happened to dark theme with green accept colors?

Hello, what happened to the dark theme with green accent colors? It seems to have changed to blue with the new version. Anyone else?

For me all the colors are gone:

Yep same here. Thought something was off with my build as I was building a new package for Solus, but then tested on Fedora and same issue.

would love to see if anyone creates a clone of the prior dark theme with green accents.

This changed in v1.20.0, which added system accent color support — Mailspring now follows your OS accent color by default. If your system accent is blue (which is GNOME’s default on Fedora and many Linux distros), the app UI adopts it.

To get your green accent back:

  • Change system accent: On GNOME, go to Settings > Appearance and pick a green accent. On Fedora 42+, it’s in Settings directly. On older GNOME, use gnome-tweaks.
  • Disable system accent in Mailspring: Go to Preferences > Appearance and uncheck “Use system accent color” — this reverts to the theme’s built-in accent color.
