Can't edit contacts in Mailspring Pro (Arch Linux)

Using Mailspring Pro in Arch Linux, I can’t add or edit contacts. Buttons for each of those functions are grayed out in all my mail accounts. I have a fair list of contacts Mailspring has gathered from emails, but it’s not complete, and it’s not accurate. If it’s a file permissions problem it’s one that’s not getting better with the usual fixes. Is this fixable, or is this feature still under development (as it almost almost appears to say here)?

It’s definitely still under development.

If I remember correctly, editing contacts currently only works with Gmail accounts. Editing arbitrary contacts stopped locally is still under development.
