First all of big thanks to you guys, I was impressed with the latest updates. Have been using mailspring for roughly an year now I guess. Used to use mail & calendar, default app on MS before they discontinued it.
I am not sure what’s with the update I got today though, app updated automatically as usual - perfectly fine.
But when I try to write anything = keyboard basically doesn’t work. One of the emails I was trying to forward to my dad & when I clicked “s”; the starting alphabet of his email, it selected “Starred”, when selected next alphabet, something else opened up. Basically yeah nothing worked, when I tried to delete the entries.… the mail somehow went into archive folder. I am clueless what’s exactly happening, is it something to do with the update or anything else?
I tried replying in msg window & same thing, keyboard isn’t recognized. But yeah copy/paste works with the keypad, I copied pasted email, the mail went through
In the past the mails used to show up in orangish color for unread, today it changed to purple color
For instance take a look at the screenshot. Any help appreciated. Currently I seem to have 1.20.0-58895290 version.
Hi there, I don’t have any fix for you but I did want to just jump in and say I have this exact same issue on version 1.20.0-58895290. Backspace sends the whole email thread to archive and the space bar is not working.
glad to hear I am not the only one. “S” selects starred, “D” starts new draft in a new window, using delete key multiple times sends the mail to Archive as well, not just backspace.
I do not see archive folder but all of those emails are sitting in Trash in the mailspring, not sure if that’s how its supposed to be. Don’t use archive at all, I had to manually search Trash folder & move them back to Inbox via Labels.
If you select “i” in the To address, you get a popup - my options show as 3 versions of imported, then some old emails with.
btw, I have found a temporary turnaround for this. Basically, you need to open the forward/reply in a new window instead of replying in the same window = then the keypad works fine.

I think this is the same issue as mentioned about the backspace not working anymore. Thank you for the workaround, but it can’t deal with reply to all. So for those messages, the workaround is useless. I hope there is a fix soon.
