Mailspring will not open

Ubuntu 24.04
downloaded .deb package and installed via terminal. Added 1 gmail acct and received acknowledgement email from MailSpring via popup notification but program will not open,

I removed all traces of program reinstall same issue.

At top of screen there are 2 displays like this … … each one pops open, open inbox, new message, preferences, and quit mailspring. Quit mailspring does clear the … The icon in ask bar show not open, click icon it shows indication by icon 2 as in 2 new messages but will not open.
Have removed and reinstalled more that once same issue?

This is a bug with the latest release (I think). We have to wait until a fixed release.

After the recent update to v1.17 which preports to have new Wayland support, my Mailspring will execute, and I get the icon in my system tray, but the application window itself refuses to show.
