google mailspring

Setup

  • OS and Version: W11 Pro 21H2
  • Installation Method: .exe from Github
  • Mailspring Version: 1.10.3-a476c230

Additional Context

I don’t know if this applies to all Gmail accounts, but the one I used on this instance keeps getting disconnected every day. I think THIS is the issue I am having regarding the disconnection.

So there is no ‘fix’ for this :frowning: My emails are a mess now after being well sorted for years :frowning: Blast Google.

This has nothing to do with google and more with the devs of mailspring using a depracated and unsecure OAuth2 flow. Google warned about this for a long time and mailspring should’ve reacted to it. Seems that Google now blocks mailspring because of this which breaks google integration.

Edit: There is a fix for this. I created a separate issue: Google OAuth no longer working
